Thanks for your interest in Code Buddy. I will personally guide you on learning how to code. You will be able to use your newfound skills to build your side projects, talk to other software engineers, or find a software engineering job.

Here’s how the programme work:

1. By signing up, you agree to commit at least 4 hours a week to work on your project. You will most likely require at least 3 months of commitment to finish your project.

2. You will choose your own project, I will guide you how to do this. Depending on the plan you signed up, I will recommend a project of a different difficulty.

3. I will send you resources / tutorials every week to help you achieve your goals. You will follow those tutorials and then text me whenever you have problems understanding certain things.

How is this different from other code academies?

1. This is tailored towards your interests and goals.

2. You have someone to look for help when you encounter roadblocks in learning how to code.

3. This is project-based. You learn all you need to learn to finish the project. At the end of your learning with me, you will have something to show off to your friends and family.

4. This is more affordable, requiring less upfront commitment in time and money.

5. You get to pick your own project. Therefore, you will be more motivated to finish it. I just need to show you how to get there.

6. This is self-directed. You will be given resources to follow instead of me teaching you the content personally. However, I will answer questions you have while following the tutorials.

FAQ

What language should I start first?

Answer: It depends on what you want to build. I generally recommend JavaScript for absolute beginners.

How much time will I need to see some success in coding?

Answer: Most people see some success within 3-6 months. But you need to commit to at least 4 hours each week, follow my resources and ask questions.

Why is this self-directed?

Answer: To keep the costs of learning this skill low, I will send you resources for you to follow instead of teaching you the content myself. However, this does not mean you are all on your own. Course material is tailored for you, and I help to answer questions you have while you follow the tutorials.

Will you be available all the time to answer my questions?

Answer: I will usually reply messages within a day. I try not to keep people waiting unless I’m at work or sleeping.

Can you help me write my code?

Answer: No. Because the only way to learn is to do it yourself, but I will teach you what to look out for and give your resources to overcome your problems.

Can I get a refund?

Answer: No. Because I am committed to helping you succeed at learning a skill. Payment with no-money-back policy is your commitment to me that you will stick with the programme.
